Analyze the Findings Cause & Effect Diagram

A typical Cause-and-Effect Diagram, or Fishbone Diagram, shows an effect at the right and the main causes of that effect off of the horizontal axis. These main causes are in turn effects that have subcauses, and so on, down many levels.

In a Project Review the Cause-and-Effect Diagram is usually completed in the context of an Event Timeline. The participants look for an event that answers their focus statement. When they find one they begin digging deeper by asking the question 'why' five times.
